About
Festival Awards UK is the annual celebration of the contemporary music festival industry, and the only body which recognises the huge effort which goes into producing Britain’s world-leading music festival scene.
This year’s hosts will be festival favourites The Cuban Brothers, and there will also be sets by hot comedians Trevor Lock and Luke Benson. Closing the ceremony will be a very special performance from the legendary John Cooper Clarke
Since its launch in 2004, the UK Festival Awards has grown into a major event at The Roundhouse in London, giving the industry chance to let its hair down and applaud the achievements of the past year.
With a gourmet dinner, gala awards ceremony and after-show party, it attracts over 1,000 people from the well-loved grass-roots events to huge-capacity extravaganzas
Tickets
Tickets are available for both the UK Festival Awards and UK Festival Conference. Full details are available here

Artists
The Cuban Brothers
The Cuban Brothers are unique. Born of the loins of seventies Havana, nurtured on a diet of soulful, sexy tunes and inspired by Cuban historical fact and mythology – their fresh approach to live entertainment whips up a frenzy at every gig.
Their legendary performance combines music, which evolves with every show, riotous comedy, both physical and observational, and sensational dancing – consequently the energy at every show is incredible. They’ve recently put together a full live band also which add a further dimension to their show.
Luke Benson
Geordie genuine-giant Luke Benson is an incredibly talented stand-up who is making waves on the circuit as a superb act and MC. Luke’s been performing stand up since 2007 and has been a finalist in the Hackney Empire, Amused Moose, Leicester Square Theatre and Mirth Control competitions. He was also nominated for this year’s Leicester Mercury New Comedian of the Year Award. To top this all off, londonisfunny.com named him as one of the Top 10 Comics to Look Out For in 2011.
Trevor Lock
One of the most exciting acts in live comedy, Trevor has also presented and acted on some of the UK’s most popular radio and TV shows.
Noted for his ability to improvise whole routines on stage, Trevor is also an excellent joke writer. His brand of intelligent stand up, mixing cleverly crafted wordplay with stream of consciousness improvisation has gained him a worldwide cult following.
After breaking onto the small screen with BBC3′s Brain Candy in 2003 and bizarrely supporting both Stewart Lee and Russell Brand on UK tours, his raucous weekly comedy showcase Trevor Lock’s Philosophy Society ran for 18 months to sell out audiences in Leicester Square from 2007 to 2008.
John Cooper Clarke
Born in 1949 to George, an engineer and Hilda, an unpublished poet, John spent his childhood growing up in Salford, Lancashire.
After teenage years as a Mod, John served a few jobs including an apprentice engineer, a lab technician at Salford University (then Salford Tech, where he was interviewed by another Manchester hero Tony Wilson, before his Factory Record Days, for Granada TV) and also a lead type compositor. After a brief unsuccessful marriage, and a stint living in Dorset, John returned to Manchester and started properly on the path for which he would become most famous for, his poetry, giving recitals at clubs and venues around the city.
Tim Fanucci
During the last few summers, Tim Fanucci has been building a reputation for himself on the festival circuit, playing eclectic sets at Glastonbury, Lake Of Stars (Malawi), Bestival, Secret Garden Party, Camp Bestival, Standon Calling & The Camden Crawl. During the winter months, he holds down a residency at Pacha London, as well as regular international tours taking in the likes of Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Australia, Norway & Poland. Known in the industry for his passion and versatility in music, Tim plays sets ranging from big room & tech-house to nu-disco and indie-electro mayhem. Whatever his style of play, he never fails to leave an impression on the dancefloor.
